SoftBank bought the former GM/Foxconn plant for $375M and named it a Stargate site in Sept 2025; site is primarily an AI data-center equipment manufacturing hub with a Foxconn/SoftBank JV and a smaller AI data-center component. SoftBank said in 2025 it had broken ground with operation expected in 2026, but Epoch AI's April 2026 satellite review saw only cleared land; its August 2026 tracker lists an AI data center under construction with 214 MW IT projected by Q1 2027.
